NGA Outing Review
The 1st NGA outing of 2004 is in the books. 8-NGA “Diehard” members braved 59-degree temperatures on January 4th & the golf course at Sea Oaks near Tuckerton, NJ. What we found was a golf course that was in mid-season condition, a challenging layout and a great green fee rate. Most of the attending golfers made the request to return sometime in 2004.

Up-Scale Golf Outings
The first of our three (3)
Up-scale outings will be held at Pine Barrens GC near Lakewood NJ. Green Fees will range from $85.00 - $105.00 for this outing. Pine Barrens is a modern layout that will remind you of North Carolina
* Up-Scale Course outing. Expect Green Fees to be over $80.00 & above.

Pine Barrens

Located 30-minutes east of Trenton NJ & just 5-miles off I-195 is this 4 ˝ star rated golf course. Carved from the sandy soil of the New Jersey Pine Barrens from which it derives it's name, Pine Barrens gives the appearance of having been there forever, so naturally does it blend with its surrounding land. Stretching to 7,112 yards from the back tees, Pine Barrens is truly a test for the good player and has already been used as a qualifying site for the US Open. Yet while the challenge from the back may be too much for many golfers, four additional sets of tees allow players of all abilities to choose the one best suited for maximum enjoyment. Each hole is truly separate in design and feel, and challenges the player with a wide variety of shots, leaving few clubs untouched during the round

Joke of the Month
Two friends were sitting in the clubhouse discussing equipment when the subject of woods came up. "In my opinion," said Tom, "the best wood in my bag is my three-wood. It's gotten me out of trouble more times than I can remember." "I have to disagree with you," said Bob. "The best wood in my bag has gotten me out of more trouble than all the three-woods on the planet ever could." "What wood is that?" Tom asked. "My pencil!"
